Dear visitor of the page,
How are you?
I have noticed that in today's world this question is rarely asked, and even less that the answer is genuinely listened to.
I am Lea, a psychologist who received her education abroad, and since 2021 I have been pursuing my training in systemic-family psychotherapy, where I currently have the title of a psychotherapist under supervision. Growing up outside of Serbia has allowed me to experience different multicultural perspectives and to understand how everyone has a different experience. For years I have volunteered in an association focused on giving psycho-social support to users of psychiatric services, where I have seen how invaluable the feeling of being heard is.
My focus during psychotherapy is precisely that; for a person to feel seen, heard, and understood regardless of their culture and problem. The systemic perspective means that we do not only look at the individual but also at the factors around them; family, friends, community, culture, etc. I believe that psychotherapy should be tailored to the needs of the client and I adopt a collaborative approach, where the emphasis is on the therapeutic space being the client's, and I am simply there to guide them.
If you would like to, it would be my pleasure to talk!
