By profession, I am a graduate psychologist and psychotherapist educated in rational-emotive-behavioral therapy (REBT). This therapeutic approach is applied in working with adolescents and adults who face various emotional and behavioral difficulties in the areas of family, partner and interpersonal relationships, education and daily functioning.
In my therapeutic practice, I often work with clients who have anxiety states, depressive moods, panic attacks and reactions to traumatic or stressful life events. I pay special attention to working with people who have difficulties in regulating anger, impulsivity and aggressiveness, as well as with those who struggle with delaying decision-making and completing important obligations (procrastination). I also work with clients who are going through separation processes, such as a breakup or loss of a loved one, as well as with people dealing with hypochondriacal concerns, learning problems, and non-assertive behavior patterns (submissive or aggressive behavior).
In my work, I apply a structured and active REBT approach, which helps clients to recognize and change dysfunctional beliefs, develop more realistic ways of thinking and more effective behavioral strategies. The therapeutic process often includes problem-solving training and assertiveness training, with the aim of strengthening emotional stability, self-confidence and the ability to face everyday challenges.
In my work, it is important for the client to gain a clearer understanding of his thoughts, emotions and behavior, as well as to develop concrete skills that he can apply in everyday life. I believe that change becomes possible when we learn to question our beliefs and take an active role in our own recovery and personal development. I perceive therapy as a practical and empowering process.
