Dear visitor of the page,
How are you? As in, how are you, truly? Honestly?
I have noticed that in today's world this question is rarely asked, and even less that the answer is genuinely listened to.
I am Lea, a psychologist who received her Bachelor's and Master's abroad, and since 2021 I have been pursuing my training in systemic-family psychotherapy, where I am in my final year of my training and hold the title of a psychotherapist under supervision. Growing up outside of Serbia has allowed me to experience different multicultural perspectives and to understand how everyone has a different experience. Along with working in private practice, my practical experience was gained by volunteering as an online psychotherapist for a counseling center who offer reduced fees for more than a year. Additionally, for years, I have volunteered in an association focused on giving psycho-social support to users of psychiatric services, where I have seen how invaluable the feeling of being heard is.
My focus during psychotherapy is precisely that; for a person to feel seen, heard, and understood regardless of their culture and problem. The systemic perspective means that we do not only look at the individual but also at the factors around them; family, friends, community, culture, etc. Together we will explore these factors, where the sessions will be tailored based on your needs and goals, with the emphasis that the therapeutic space is yours, the client's; I am simply there to guide you through the process.
If you would like to, it would be my pleasure to talk!
